The symmetry of Frankfurt's Alte Oper and its fountain was already almost suspiciously perfect, so photographer iain waited for something human to interrupt it. A cyclist finally crossed the frame at exactly the right moment, balancing the strict geometry of the building with the ordinary movement of someone just passing through. Frankfurt, Germany, 2021.
This fine art print is made on premium luster photo paper, which has a soft sheen that's partly glossy and partly matte. The deep blacks, bright whites, and fine architectural detail stay rich and sharp, without the heavy glare of a glossy print.
